For group medical plans, American Carolina offers both employer-funded and employee-paid plans to meet a variety of insurance needs. Our broad market access ensures you the best plan and the best price available.
Self funded Group Coverage
With self-funded medical plans, the employer assumes all risk, but a third-party administrator (TPA) administers the plan including all claims processing. Employers often purchase “excess loss” coverage to limit their liability in the event of excessive claims. American Carolina Insurance offers self-funded coverage through all major insurance companies and TPAs.
Group Term Life Insurance
An excellent benefit, group term life insurance provides life insurance coverage during an employee’s term of employment. When the employee leaves the company, the insurance expires without value. Providing extra security, group term life insurance is a valuable and cost effective benefit to add to your business’ benefits package.
Other Group Plans
Short-term Disability
Short-term disability policies can be funded by either employer or employee, or both together. These policies replace income lost due to disability for short periods of time, usually less than six months. They provide an excellent layer of financial security for your employees.
Long-term Disability
These policies serve the same goals as short-term disability, except that they provide coverage for a longer period of time, typically longer than six months.
Legal Services Plan
Legal services plans ensure that your employees can access legal services when they need them. The can address a range of concerns about legal advice for taxes and domestic issues to more complex matters. These services can provide tremendous benefits for employees who might otherwise have no access to a lawyer.
